More about Char's weekly classes & monthly workshops.
Char’s twenty-plus-year yoga practice began in Hatha yoga. However, fifteen years ago, she discovered Hot Power Vinyasa at the urging of her acupuncturist following a high-speed collision and a lengthy recovery. She immediately fell in love with the smooth, dance-like movements, and revitalizing effects offered by each sweaty class. As a result, she decided to train in alignment-based Power Vinyasa with a strong foundation in Ashtanga, Iyengar & Baptiste lineages and teaches fusion classes incorporating elements of these traditions in both neutral & heated rooms. Char was born with a genetic autoimmune disease, having endured a lifelong battle with a physically debilitating and degenerative musculoskeletal disorder with chronic and systemic pain and inflammation. This tumultuous journey motivates her to offer additional integrative healing practices. Such as Reiki, Aromatherapy, Bodywork, Meditation, and Sound Healing, Accessible & Adaptive Yoga, Yoga for Chronic Pain, Trauma Sensitive Yoga, Chair Yoga, Yin Yoga, Yoga Nidra, and Restorative Yoga for their ability to rehabilitate and regenerate the mind and body. Especially for certain musculoskeletal diseases, injuries, chronic conditions, trauma recovery, and mood disorders. She’s also trained to work with breast cancer survivors at all stages of detection and care. Including those with Lymphedema, Stage 4 Metastatic Breast Cancer, and those in need of palliative support.
