THAI YOGA BODYWORK
Thai Yoga Bodywork, also referred as nuat thai, nuat phaen boran, or nuad boran is an ancient Ayurvedic-based body science dating back to 500 b.c., created by Jivaka Kumarbhaccha a yogi, meditator and renowned personal physician to the Buddha (Gautama Buddha). This ancient healing art is considered a balancing, relaxing and rejuvenating extension of your yoga practice. Performed on a floor mat as the recipient is guided through a series of assisted yoga postures and gentle stretches; while palming and thumbing is applied along the body’s “sen” (energy lines) and “marmas” (pressure points) creating a harmonious and rehabilitative dance. Through this comprehensive practice joints are opened, muscles and tendons are stretched, internal organs are toned and energy is balanced. Resulting in an incredibly powerful mind and body experience. No lotions or oils are applied and participant remains fully clothed for the entire session.
